Yes and no. No, it's not technically a public space, but it is absolutely a common space. However, also what people fail to understand is that the gym absolutely can determine what they want to permit. So you have no expectation of privacy in such a place, but the gym may explicitly forbid filming, which is completely within their right. If only people could just be nice and decent. And of course filming in the locker room is just illegal.

I’ve been MIA for a while while I waited to find out if I had skin cancer. I had two biopsies done and the results were negative so far. I have a family history of melanoma so I have to keep an eye on things. Please folks, check your body regularly! Photos: biopsy spots, no blood

In case you need a reason to be grateful you’re not currently dating. Cousin got this handmade giant wooden box like 2 weeks into seeing this guy. They break up, he brings her the key when he drops of whatever she left at his house. This was the contents of the box. Two. Weeks. I’m so glad I’ll never have to do this again. Bonus: do we think he made such a large box to put her chopped up body in?
