Diarly 3.5.0 for macOS is live. The old Mac version wasn’t quite there after iPhone, so we rebuilt it. Today and All views are now on Mac, with a simpler sidebar and a more natural flow. Check it out on the App Store: apps.apple.com/pl/app/diarly-…

@allygill Thank you for the bug report - it's indeed not possible but we will restore this functionality!

@DiarlyApp How do you refresh items like Activities which are part of the template- e.g. number of steps is loaded at create time but cannot be updated unless removed and re-added

@allygill Can you please check if you have the "show metadata" turned on - Diarly > Settings > Timeline. New Version saves the Activities as metadata and displays theme outside of the text area.

@DiarlyApp In the MacOS version the number of steps is being cropped if over 10,000 - e.g. 10,300 in iOS shows as 10,30. Also activity info no longer shows in the sidebar is its in the header

Do you stop writing when it gets uncomfortable, or exactly then start being honest? That line often decides the value of the entry.

Mood tracking is valuable because it shows you not just how you feel, but what keeps shaping those feelings. Maybe it’s time to start noticing yours.

Reread your last few entries and finish the sentence “Lately, my life has been about ___.”

Years from now you won’t remember the exact day you wrote something. But you’ll remember someone’s name, the city you were in, or a moment that changed something in you. Tags help you find your way back to it.

Love doesn’t have to be loud to be real. Sometimes it’s just someone remembering your coffee order. Happy Valentine’s Day. 💕

Sometimes I open my journal with nothing dramatic in mind, just to mark the quiet version of the day before memory starts editing it.

Slow the moment down: • What was said or done, plain and simple. • What I decided it meant about me or them. • Other explanations that make me uneasy.

Add a photo, then describe only what the photo hides. Context, tension, the part outside the frame.

Diarly now supports importing from Apple Journal so your existing entries can move seamlessly into one place. Keep your past notes, moments, and memories together without starting over.

Start with mood, not prose. Pick the feeling fast. Then write one sentence that actually matches it. The mood is the spine.

Most people don’t avoid journaling because it’s hard. They avoid it because it makes them accountable to their own words.
