Hungry to create wealth without abandoning their hometowns. Hungry for ownership, not just employment. Hungry to prove that success does not belong to a PIN code. This hunger is quieter than India 1. But it is deeper. India 1.5 and India 2 are no longer waiting to be discovered. We are building. And very soon, the story won’t just be written about us as it will be written by us.

The others were never interested in a Coalition with regional parties. The National Congress has always had no clue about Assam regional politics since TG’s death. They will be annihilated this time. Even Priyanka can’t save them. As an impartial observer, there are 2 ways to go for any 50 yrs + Assamese politician who wants to genuinely work and not waste his prime years. a) Join the BJP from a position of strength and get a chance to be a Representative and work for one's people. For this one has to wear blinkers about many things. But if one’s people matters more than principle, this is the wise thing to do. b) Not join the BJP and work hard to amass enough wealth to fund one’s Independent campaign. Since the second option is very hard to achieve at age 50+ without the support of the ruling party 😜, only option (a) is viable. P.S. Strictly my opinion dei, no other opinion involved !

I feel so sad about us. The civic sense of all classes have taken a nose dive. Our pristine neighbourhood is littered with plastic, garbage and all kinds of “bottles”. What is the use of teaching kids segregation of waste and a hygienic disposal when apathetic leaders do not care about the surroundings. Only the Khumtai MLA has higher intelligence about ecology. These third rate Assam Andolan products have badly betrayed our aesthete.
