We launched Polygon zkEVM as the first full-featured, open source zkEVM ever made available. With that launch comes responsibility, including high levels of security and uptime. Thus, the last 10 months have been stage 1 of the Polygon zkEVM Mainnet Beta, focused on testing, scaling and growing the infrastructure. Today begins stage 2, focused on responsible dApp growth and activation of activity onchain. Expect to see new dApp launches rolling out gradually over the next two months, as we educate the community on all the new building teams coming to Polygon zkEVM. This stage also reflects the time during which we will work on upgrading the Polygon zkEVM client to increase throughput as we start emerging from this phase of testing. Full activation comes during stage 3 in March. We will ship a major upgrade to the Polygon zkEVM client that removes all limitations on throughput at a time when Polygon zkEVM will have built out all infrastructure, tested it thoroughly and ensured that billions of transactions can come to Polygon zkEVM. At this time, we will also introduce various campaigns directly and with dApps deploying on Polygon zkEVM. In other words: The floodgates will open. Polygon zkEVM season is coming.
