I got my 1st dose of the Covid-19 vaccine while ovulating. By the time I got my 2nd, I was pregnant. Then came time for my booster, which I got while breastfeeding. I have prioritized safety & protection in this beautiful journey. How’s it worked out for me? Take a look 👀 💙

10. Marriage takes work, kindness & empathy goes a long way. Your partner is your teammate in this crazy thing called parenting. Turning on each other can make things harder for everyone.

9. Co-parenting roles can be renegotiated at any time. Early on I took most (though not all) of the night time duties because William breastfed at night for a while. Once I weaned him off, an examination of the roles and re-distribution of the load followed.

A few lessons on #motherhood I’ve learned the hard way- a 🧵 1. “Mom” was added to my identity. I never stopped being a woman, a doctor, a communicator, a wife, a friend, a freakin’ hustler. I don’t have to apologize for being the full me. Not to myself, not to anyone else.

EXCUSE ME- who do I need to talk to for New York City public schools to STOP requiring kids to be seen by a doctor and be cleared for every little minor symptom. It’s a huge problem! Kids just sit at home and parents miss work. Help me out- how do we change this?

The flu can be a very big deal for children. It is not just a "bad cold." I count the ways it can hurt children and detail the story of one sweet little girl in my piece for CNN cnn.com/2022/12/08/hea…

Dear parents, As the amoxicillin shortage continues, please DO NOT: - Give "old" left over antibiotics from a prior illness. - Change the dosing or the duration of treatment - Switch to a different medication without the help of your doctor We are here to help you, reach out!

Families sometimes tell me they want to wait to vaccinate their babies until they’re “bigger” Brief PSA - THE POINT of vaccinating young is to give babies protection when they need it most, ie when an illness would pose the most danger. But yes, doing it later is better than not
