Carnell Tate, like Chris Olave, JSN, and Emeka Egbuka before him, displaying the smooth, precise route running, which, of course, provides a wide window of separation.

If you were in Columbus today, in person, watching Arvell Reese workout, and didn’t come away thinking that this is a premium level athlete with unlimited upside, you should quit talking about athletes. Forever. Don’t even bother watching his tape actually playing the game. In pads. You will never get it. Ever.

A lot of eyes on Carnell Tate, here are some of his catches with Julian Sayin. Also a great chance for Sayin to impress NFL Scouts a year early:

I haven’t spoken to a single scout, coach, team, personnel exec that hasn’t been wowed by Jeremiyah Love, his humility, football IQ, love for football, willingness and want to be great, and overall level headedness. Which top drafting team will go all-in.

Everyone is allowed to have an opinion on who they think the #1 QB is in this year NFL Draft, but trying to discredit the fact that nobody made more big time/crunch time throws than Fernando Mendoza in College Football last year or played in bigger games is worse than stepping out the back of the Endzone. Watching the film is essential to the evaluation process, but when you go into the film watching trying to “find” something to talk about on TV it leads you down a dangerous path. Can Fernando Mendoza make all the throws? Yes. Can Ty Simpson? Yes. Nit picking the amount of times a certain “NFL Throw” was made is tailoring your film watching to tear down a guy instead of realizing that Fernando Mendoza was 3rd in Completion %, 4th in yards per attempt, 1st in TDs, 1st in QB Rating and the most efficient QB in College Football. You can love both QBs and you can prefer one over the other. But you can’t get mad when people call you out on faulty reasons for your analysis. That’s why people think Dan Orlovsky is being paid to support Ty Simpson. Ty Simpson is an amazing young QB. The reasons Orlovsky is saying he is better than Mendoza don’t make sense and makes him look like he is just saying it to say something interesting on TV.

This whole segment from Pat & Dan is fascinating to me. Biggest stages for Fernando Mendoza: #1 OSU / #9 Alabama / #5 Oregon / #10 Miami – 32 PPG – 10 TDs – 1 INT We’re not talking enough about that run & it’s the #1 reason Fernando is going to Raiders.

Ty Simpson reportedly received first-round grades from every NFL GM his camp contacted. Who reported it? UT Martin head coach Jason Simpson, his father, said it months ago.

@LRiddickESPN Louis is correct. Every other QB class is labeled “loaded.” The proper way to frame it is that the 2027 class has a chance to be elite, but these players have to go out and prove it in 2026.

Full disclosure: In an effort to get more EDGE defenders (DE/OLB) recognition, I split the group into two categories. While every team views the EDGE position differently, I put “stand up” in the OLB group and “hand down” in the DE group. I made similar tweaks at WR/SLOT and CB/Star/Nickel. The goal was to give as much shine as possible to the top prospects, in my opinion, in the class ❤️🏈 #NFLDraft

@BuckyBrooks I like this, Bucky. I’ve done this in the past with DBs and receivers to better illustrate their stylistic profiles, and this breakdown has real educational value. 👍

Dan Orlovsky has consistently had Ty Simpson as his QB1 for a while now. He makes a strong case when you look at the NFL-style throws and offense Simpson operated in compared to Mendoza in a more RPO-heavy scheme. I also believe Mendoza can make those same throws if asked to work more digs, corners, and sail routes. At the end of the day, these are two very gifted players. I do think Simpson goes on Day 1 and likely lands in a strong situation.

Insane: Dan Orlovsky says that Ty Simpson is the best QB in the draft class over Fernando Mendoza... “I think Ty Simpson is QB1. I think Ty Simpson is the best quarterback in this class.” 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

I didn’t care much for Ephesians Prysock’s film in 2023 with Arizona or 2024, his first year with Washington… but 2025 showed a ton of improvements. Rare length with + athletic tools. Located the football a ton better, and less grabby. Next step: be more consistent in press.
