Los estudiantes de 4to grado de Edwards Elementary School tuvieron un inolvidable y emocionante paseo al “Monumento Nacional de CO”. 4th-grade students at Edwards Elementary School had an exciting and unforgettable trip to the “CO National Monument”.

On Wednesday, EES green team and Walking Mountains taught us the updated procedures for what we can recycle and what goes into the landfill. Check-in with your child!

EES 1st-graders finish their PLTW unit with a project where the students have to design clothes for a person who will travel to the tropical rainforest, the African savanna, or the Arctic.

EES students had a visit from local veterans today. They learned a lot about their very different experiences in the Army. Chat with your child about what they learned. Thank you to all our veterans for their service!

Congratulations to all of our 4th and 5th graders who met their reading goals this month. It sure was a fun celebration. Thank you to all our community businesses for supporting our celebration.

Thank you to all of our wonderful parent volunteers and Catrinas for making Dia de Los Muertos a memorable day at EES. Delicious pan de muerto as well - yum!

You see it all the time: students (and parents) who are obsessed with grades. *4 strategies* that can shift the focus from "What grade did I get?" to "What did I learn?"

Mistakes make our brains grow! 4th graders made a lot of mistakes and pushed their brains to the limit today! Ask them about making this unusual structure.

EES kindergartners enjoyed a beautiful day on the Colorado River! So much fun all around:)

EES 3rd-graders watched Painted Ladies take flight at America's highest botanical garden at the annual Butterfly Launch. It is a festive celebration as children witness Mother Nature work her wonders transforming a caterpillar into a butterfly.

EES proud! Congratulations to Kaya Halacheva! Her Earth Day poster has been selected as the winner of Eagle County's Earth Day Poster Contest > “Do Your Part for Climate Action.” This theme was selected to emphasize individual efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change.

This week kindergarten students learned to compare weights using balance scales.

EES 3rd-graders had an amazing time learning about fossils! Learning outside is always fun, even on a cloudy day!

Thank you to the Walking Mountains Science Center for the opportunity to explore nature, gain a scientific understanding, and learn about the many wonders of our mountain environment. Our 1st-graders love to learn outside:)
