Main thing is the Remakes are also kind of tonally different from the originals. For example, RE4R remake tone is much closer to a genuine action movie. Whereas the original is an UNSERIOUS B action movie.

lily gao’s voice works well with ada because she’s not playing her like a seductress. ada is detached, private, and always 3 steps ahead. the calm, colder delivery fits waayyy better than the “mysterious sexy spy” voice people expected to hear in re4rm

Hey! So it was never intended to be Resident Evil 4. In fact it was supposed to be the sequel to Resident Evil 2. And even then, because of politicking, it wasn’t going to be called Resident Evil 3.

Resident Evil: Code Veronica IS Resident Evil 4. Listen, I’m not an old head…I’m playing this game for the first time right now. It’s literally the continuation of the series and is followed up by RE4 & RE5. The series is one number off with each release, it’s kind of insane.
