KS3 students visited Darlington Hippodrome yesterday to see The Woman in Black. From jump-out moments to eerie atmosphere, the production brought Gothic horror vividly to life and will be a fantastic support when learning about the Gothic genre in their English lessons.

Year 8 filled the house this morning! Students who hit the jackpot with 100% attendance, outstanding achievement or extra-curricular commitment earned their seat at Burton’s Bingo. Eyes down for a morning packed with fun, plenty of laughs, and a prize for the lucky caller!

Santa is Here! Come down To the Christmas Fayre for Gifts, Games and Grub! We have over 30 stalls, Father Christmas in his grotto, food trucks, raffle/tombola, bouncy castles and live music! Fun for all the family! Entry is free. Open until 1pm.

At 7:15am on Tuesday 11th November 2025, members of the Bede Academy community gathered at Blyth Beach for a moving Sunrise Remembrance Service, honouring those who have served and sacrificed in times of conflict. #ESFmat #BedeAcademy #Valued #Challenged #Inspired

Yesterday, Mr Skerry delivered an assembly to remember and honour those who fought for our freedoms. Today, students and staff observed a two-minute silence. Commencing by the playing of The Last Post and concluding with the Reveille, played beautifully by Poppy in Year 10.

A huge well done to Lewis H in 7 Campbell, who has successfully entered the BBC 500 Words competition! Lewis has worked incredibly hard on his story and is determined to make it all the way to Buckingham Palace — one of the top prizes in the competition! 👑 Best of luck!
