@AngelaSterritt No... I can't think of a situation where that wouldn't be paternalistic. There are enough BIPOC-led projects that are underfunded and undeserved and the gatekeepers to resources are mostly white folks . If white folks want to help they can play a supporting role by sharing access

Should white people run projects, organizations, and groups that are aimed for Black, Indigenous, and people of colour representation? (Only answer if you are BIPOC).

BCCLA joins the National Council of Canadian Muslims and Muslim communities across the country in calling for concrete action from all levels of govt to urgently end Islamophobia and anti-Muslim racism. A whole of government approach is needed. And change needs to happen now.

Just watched a journalism conference w/ a number of news leaders boasting about their coverage of residential schools (& boasting about their diversity in the newsroom) & there is not one Indigenous journalist (or anyone named) in any of the conference workshops. 🤔🤨
