Evanston PD is investigating a shooting at Mason Park. No one has been injured. ETHS was placed on a precautionary soft lockdown. Please avoid the area. This is an active investigation.

All lockdowns have been lifted.

The lift has concluded. All vehicle and pedestrian traffic is now open.

Construction/traffic alerts for the Fountain Square area in downtown Evanston TODAY at 10 a.m. There will be temporary closures around Davis & Sherman for a scheduled helicopter lift for construction. All pedestrian and vehicle traffic will be closed for approx. 1 hour.

There is a ComEd power outage that has left the traffic lights inoperable at Chicago/Clark and Chicago/Church. Stop signs are being placed for safety, and the power is expected to be restored in three hours.

School zone safety reminder to keep our kids safe, Evanston: Slow down. Phones down. Watch for kids on foot and on bikes. Follow crossing-guard directions. Roads are open again, crash cleaned up.

Fire and police on scene in the 500 block of Chicago Ave due to a rollover crash. There are no injuries but traffic will be shut down on Chicago between Keeney and South for cleanup.

Davis from Chicago to Sherman is now open to all traffic

EPD is on scene of a vehicle vs bicyclist at Dempster, just east of Oak. Traffic is currently closed between Oak and Ridge. We will update when clear.
