I like how there was wickedness all around prophet Noah, & he still stuck to the plan, he didn’t deviate from his task and was blessed for it. Even with all the world at each others throats now, what do you have going that you can pull off before the month ends that’ll elevate U

Motivation is a scam sold to people who haven’t found a good enough reason yet. You don’t need to feel like it. You need a reason that makes not doing it feel worse than doing it. That’s the whole secret. Everything else is just noise.

Sometimes "out of sight, out mind" isn't enough You have to actively back it up with "out of mind, out of sight" Ur ego holds on to some things so deeply that simply staying away from it doesn't help. You have to understand why it has so much hold over you and why it shouldn't.

An executive assistant accidentally uncovered a hidden item on her CEO's private calendar. It was called "Project Phoenix." Every month, it quietly moved $50,000 out of the company's accounts. The payments had been going on for nearly ten years. She was convinced she'd just uncovered the biggest corporate fraud in the company's history. Her CEO wasn't just another executive. He was the man employees admired. The founder who had built the company from a tiny startup into a global tech giant while preaching honesty and integrity every chance he got. But none of that matched what she was looking at. The money wasn't going to a supplier. It wasn't going to an investor. It wasn't even going to a company anyone had ever heard of. The recipient was an obscure business with no public website, no employees, and no obvious purpose. She downloaded every payment record she could find. Then she walked into his office. She dropped the files onto his desk. "I know about Project Phoenix," she said. "I've already copied everything. If you can't explain this, I'm reporting it." The CEO didn't panic. He didn't call security. He simply closed his laptop and looked at the papers for a long moment. Then he said quietly, "I was wondering when someone would finally find it." She frowned. You admit it? I do. Her heart sank. So you really have been stealing from the company? He slowly shook his head. No. He opened a locked folder on his computer and turned the screen toward her. Inside were signed legal agreements, old emails, and bank records dating back almost a decade. Years earlier, while building the software that made the company famous, he'd unknowingly used an algorithm created by a young engineer at another firm. By the time the mistake was discovered, the software had already been deployed worldwide. His lawyers had found a way to bury the issue. No lawsuit. No headlines. No consequences. They told me to stay quiet," he said. Legally, I probably could have. But I knew who had really created the breakthrough. Instead of hiding behind expensive lawyers, he'd spent the next ten years quietly paying the engineer royalties through a private agreement. The engineer had accepted one condition. His name would never become public. He didn't want fame. He only wanted his work to be respected. The assistant looked back at the files she'd been so certain were evidence of corruption. They weren't records of theft. They were proof of a promise no one else even knew existed. As she gathered the papers, the CEO smiled faintly. The easiest thing in the world is doing the right thing when everyone is watching. He looked out the window before adding, "The harder test is doing it when nobody ever will."

"Oga, if I no rush like three sachets for morning like this, I no go dey alright." That was what the bike man taking me to a client's farm to check his abandoned cassava processing machines told me thismorning. I laughed and asked him why. He said it makes him sharp, agile, and ready for the day's hustle. "Without am, I no fit move with coordination." He said it so casually, like someone talking about taking tea before work. As we rode on, I kept thinking about it. For some people, it's just a harmless way to start the day. For others, it's a sign of how normalized dependence has become. The funny thing is that if you spend enough time around motor parks, construction sites, markets, and even some offices, you'll realize he's far from alone. Everyone seems to have something they believe they need before they can face the day. Coffee, energy drinks, alcohol, cigarettes, just something. If you can't start your day without taking something first, does that automatically make it an addiction? At what point does a habit truly become an addiction?
