Well done @virginmedia the last 6 weeks has been the worst customer service experience in my 68 yrs on this planet. No coordination; lack of understanding about your own products; broken promises on call backs (I could go on). If anyone out there considering using them - DON’T.

@MTrainRadio @mixcloud Thanks again for playing The Feedback File Alex even if a bit daunting to follow one of the greatest songs of all time! Thought our track segued really nicely into that gorgeous @Broken_Bells song though.

@anaismitchell Check out the new Broken Bells album Anais or even the latest Feedback File album Summerland (hey nothing wrong with a bit of shameless self promotion he says sheepishly)

@MTrainRadio Get better soon Alex. Covid is weird - sometimes you can have no symptoms at all and sometimes it knocks you flat.

Hi, Alex here. Not a fun week. Progress is slow. Thanks to COVID... continued breathlessness, a cough & a need to hit bed early means a repeat 'Mystery Train Radio Show' will be aired @ mysterytrainradio.com tonight. Thanks for all the well-wishes received recently :)

@anaismitchell Late to the show and only just found this album - just wonderful. That melodic lift at the end of the verses on Back Roads - oh yes!!

Had a great newsletter thread about music that feels most Fall earlier this week; to me, right now, Bonny Light Horseman — but was reminded that Feist's METALS and all Fleetwood Mac is *also* Deep Fall

Having felt rubbish yesterday - I tested positive for COVID (I guess I did well to avoid it this long).... as such a repeat 'Mystery Train Radio Show' will be aired from 10PM (UK) @MTrainRadio. I plan to be back driving the train 'live' next Sunday. Have a good week coming up :)

@PennyBlackWeb @FriendsAgain2 State of Art one my favourite songs of the time. That band initiated 2 more great bands - The Bathers and Love and Money. There was something in the water in Scotland around that time.

John Clarkson's choice for National Album DAy is @FriendsAgain2's only 1984 album 'Trapped and Unwrapped' "Packed with indie pop gems, it heralded the arrival of three major Scottish talents, Chris Thomson, James Grant and Paul McGeechan. Nearly 40 years on it sounds timeless."

@MTrainRadio @mixcloud Cheers Alex - just recovering from a hernia op. MTR helped take my mind off it. That Bonny Light Horseman album sounds fabulous.
