you make sense but people also talking about tax support in case of layoff. MNC employees works in stress and gave huge sum as tax and when layoff there is some tax concession or taxback. And fire, hire, refire and rehire concept is somehow unethical as this happens not because of cashflow but to show healthy balance-sheet to hide debt. Also, company can reduce the salary or in case of no demand, they can layoff slowly compensatly. Its NOT a fine morning at 6AM, people given 15 years and layed off. We are in a capatalism world not unethical world.

To layoff people you have to hire them first and govt does not hire much.. There are 10 lac govt jobs vacant in union govt.. govt knows they cannot layoff so they don't hire them..

A woman was smoking in public place in Connaught Place, Delhi. A female police officer asked her to stop smoking. Instead of complying, she started arguing and asked cop to show the "No Smoking" board. Instead of fining and slapping the shit out of this woman, cop asked this woman to show the "Smoking" board. 🤦🤦 Smoking in public places is banned in Delhi under the Delhi Prohibition of Smoking and Non-Smokers Health Protection Act, 1996, and reinforced by the national COTPA 2003 law, which prohibits smoking in public places. It is another matter that people continue to smoke in public and nobody says anything.

Eveytime such mass layoff happens and people cry for few days and stop. Govt waiting to get this over and back to normal. Why can govt simply add a labour rule to get paid at least 3 months to 1 year compensation ?
