The unfortunate truth here is all the horrendous behaviour of the fans at Bethpage black is a huge growth driver for the Ryder cup. Well Maybe not a growth TV driver because the competition looked dead going into the singles. But it definitely would have sustained an audience purely for the “I want to see what mad shit happens or is said to McIrloy/Lowry”. It’s entertainment over sport. In the relentless pursuit of commerially focused metrics, the sport itself is not really a consideration.

@DenisCrowley In the context of cork/derry/louth. It will be score difference as they’ve all beaten each other so the the H2H produces a stalemate. Thats assuming cork lose and both Derry and Louth win.

@DenisCrowley Head to head if it’s two teams in a tie. Score difference if it’s more than 2 teams where a head to head of the 3 tied teams doesn’t produce a clear winner (one of the 3 teams has beaten both the others) I think that’s it anyway
