@Purplelover16_ yea but if a woman is just - periodless - it makes sense for folks that still menstruate to be envious of that lack of pain and mess. like its not that deep ykwim. folks just dont wanna be uncomfortable/in pain

@FoolsThrone I never said periods are pleasant. Never. But losing them usually means something more serious than painful symptoms during period. Women don’t envy that. They envy men who have never had periods and it doesn't affect their health

“women are people with periods.” not really many women dont menstruate. “well, women are people with uterus!” you can literally remove your uterus. “women are people born with uterus!” you can be born without one. “women are ppl with two X chromosomes” you can be AFAB and have a Y chromosome. “well women are people who are female at conception.” everyone is female at conception. there is no way to define womanhood that excludes trans women but includes all cis women.

@Purplelover16_ You act like a menstrual cycle is pleasant. in comparison it def can be, but for a lot of folks, they're utterly debilitating. Please use your brain and realize there is nuance to this sorta thing

@Purplelover16_ It's not - you can get it as a form of sterilization. Just takes jumping through hoops. you gotta realize that women & other afabs are not some sorta vague amalgamation - every single one may have diff reasons for why they may not menstruate & whether or not they're happy abt it

@FoolsThrone @NNewt84 Obviously it's stops after menopause, which is also not a pleasant event(hot flashes, night sweats, irregular periods, vaginal dryness, insomnia, mood swings and weight gain). Hysterectomy is performed only because of severe gynecological diseases.

@NNewt84 ignore that person. There may be many reasons why someone doesn't menstruate - it doesn't always mean illness/suffering. For instance - menstruation stops completely after menopause and birth control or certain surgeries like hysterectomies can stop it as well.
