Early this morning, American service members removed Nicolás Maduro - a criminal  narcoterrorist and dictator who ruled through corruption and fear. Today, our country and the world are safer, and the Venezuelan people have a chance to reclaim their democracy.    Maduro’s drug trafficking networks have fueled violence across our hemisphere and are responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans. Thanks to President Trump’s leadership, Maduro will now face justice for his crimes against the American people.   Thank you to the brave service members who carried out this decisive mission, sending a clear message of why the American military is the best in the world.

Yesterday, I joined Chairman Thompson to discuss Democrats putting SNAP at risk for the working families who need to put food on their tables. This shutdown could end today if Democrats choose common sense over politics and put the American people first.

Republicans funded SNAP in our clean CR. Senate Democrats have voted against funding SNAP 13 times.

Tim Walz: Democrats are "not willing" to open up the government because they won't let "an authoritarian president do whatever he wants." This shutdown has always been about Radical Democrats' hatred of President Trump.

Day 27 of the Democrat Shutdown. Democrats are still holding the government hostage to appease their Radical Left base. American families are paying the price.

Last week, I spoke with Freeborn County Board of Commissioners Chairman Brad Edwin about recent issues impacting the county’s ICE detention facility, including delayed federal payments and medical expense concerns that my office has been helping to resolve. It’s an honor to represent #MN01 in Congress, and I am committed to ensuring counties aren’t left footing the bill for federal or state responsibilities.

A quick update from D.C. on Day 23 of this needless shutdown. Time to put people over politics and get Congress back to work.

No student should sit in a classroom with a teacher who glorifies violence. After a MSU Mankato professor’s reprehensible remarks on Charlie Kirk, and his history of inflammatory language, I urge the university to act. Students deserve an education rooted in respect, integrity, and safety.

Charlie Kirk was such a bright mind and light to this world. His faith, knowledge, and voice inspired so many. Let’s not allow evil to win by letting his work die with him, but instead pray that those who have heard him will use their faith and reason to be beacons of hope, common sense, and courage…out of darkness will come light.
