In Congress, I’ve continued to fight for the increased broadband access and investments our rural communities need and deserve. I recently met with members of the Minnesota Telecom Alliance to discuss my continued support for telecom in rural areas and the role their organization plays in delivering these important services to Minnesotans. This week in Washington, I joined members of @MNRuralElectric for a discussion on our rural utilities and ways Minnesota’s rural electric co-ops are leading the next chapter of American energy. I always appreciate the opportunity to hear directly from the leaders, operators, and advocates who keep the lights on throughout #MN01. Thanks for having me!

This Farm Bill wasn’t written by bureaucrats in Washington – it was written by, and for, the folks in farm country. I’m grateful for the hard work of @CongressmanGT and my @HouseAgGOP colleagues to deliver critical legislation for our communities at home. I took some time to reflect on the importance of the 2026 Farm Bill House passage with Chairman Thompson this afternoon – watch here ⬇️

Throughout my time in Congress, I’ve talked with farmers and producers across #MN01’s 21 counties to ensure the next Farm Bill truly meets the needs of farm country. From those conversations, my @HouseAgGOP colleagues and I have put together a strong, bipartisan Farm Bill that delivers certainty for farmers and rural communities across southern Minnesota and the country. I’m proud of the work we’ve done to pass this essential legislation in the House. I call on my Senate colleagues to do the same, and I look forward to sending it to President Trump’s desk.

Time after time, Governor Walz and his administration have failed to provide oversight of our taxpayer-funded programs and refused to share information regarding the waste, fraud, and abuse happening in our state. Because of the work of the @FBI, @TheJusticeDept, and @DHSgov in drafting and executing yesterday’s search warrants, these bad actors will be held accountable.

I appreciated meeting with representatives from Allina Health and hearing their insights on federal health policy. From primary care to surgery and cancer care, @AllinaHealth's network of hospitals and clinics provide the healthcare services our neighbors rely on, especially in rural communities across #MN01. Thank you for all you do to provide care to southern Minnesotans!

I met with members of @mntruck to discuss their operations and the needs of Minnesota’s truckers and carriers. Appreciated their insights related to the trucking industry and how I can help advance their transportation policy priorities in Congress.

Democrats have refused to fund @DHSgov for 73 days. Saturday night’s act of political violence is exactly why we should be paying the brave men and women who work tirelessly to keep this country safe. It’s high time we fully fund DHS and put an end to this reckless shutdown.

I joined my fellow Minnesota Congressional Republicans in sending a letter to Gov. Walz demanding he and his administration comply with the @USDA’s request for SNAP verification and enrollment data. Minnesotans deserve to know where their hard-earned taxpayer dollars are going, and when states like Minnesota refuse to provide the USDA with the data needed to prevent fraud, they allow waste and abuse to continue. I’m committed to requiring cooperation and oversight from states to protect our food assistance programs, which is why I’ve introduced the SNAP Data Transparency and Oversight Act to do exactly that.

Grateful for the swift action of our outstanding U.S. Secret Service and law enforcement officials who kept the President, Vice President, and guests safe at tonight’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Praying for all those impacted by this terrible act of political violence.

Saddened to hear the news of Mayor Arnoldt’s passing. His service and dedication to the Janesville community will not be forgotten. My prayers are with his friends, family, and the entire Janesville community during this difficult time.

Great meeting with members of Big I Minnesota this week to discuss their legislative priorities surrounding legal reform and insurance premiums. I’m grateful for our productive discussion and for the work that independent insurance agents do to support #MN01 families and businesses.

I’m honored to receive the Defender of Limited Government award for my voting record in Congress. I’m proud to be a strong advocate for the limited government principles in our Constitution, and I will continue to support policies that get Big Government out of the way so #MN01 families and businesses can thrive. Appreciate the Institute for Legislative Analysis’ recognition!

I’m committed to fighting for commonsense policies in Congress that support our construction industry. I recently joined the Minnesota State Building and Construction Trades Council’s Congressional Delegation breakfast in D.C. to speak on the future of the construction trades, infrastructure, and energy. Their work goes far beyond blueprints and job sites – it helps create safe and reliable spaces in our communities. Thank you for having me!

Our hardworking #MN01 construction workers play a critical role in the development of the places we call home across southern Minnesota. I met with members of @LIUNA Minnesota to discuss upcoming projects that will invest in the region and bring jobs to our communities. Thanks for the visit!

Great to have our winner of the 2025 Congressional App Challenge for #MN01, Simon Wilke, in Washington, D.C. for the #HouseOfCode event this week! Simon created the app “DermaSight,” which helps users detect early signs of skin cancer directly from their phones. “DermaSight” is a true reflection of the medical innovation southern Minnesota is proud to have in our backyard. Amazing work, Simon!

As a fourth-generation farmer, raising the fifth, I understand the importance of strong farm policy to passing our operations down to the next generation. This week, I joined the Land O’ Lakes Board of Directors to discuss passing the Farm Bill, ag innovation, and workforce needs. Thank you for having me!
