The Supreme Court just gutted the Voting Rights Act, which has protected voters from discriminatory redistricting for decades. Within hours, Republicans all over the country rushed to pass aggressive gerrymanders. This is voter suppression with a rubber stamp of approval, and it’s wrong. I spent my career as a prosecutor believing the law protects everyone equally. This ruling sends us back in time and tells folks their votes can be diluted and their voices silenced.
