Great to see that the @MiltonCountryPk Common Terns have 3 chicks! As far as I know this is the first time they have ever bred at this site @CambsBirdClub

Immediate success, floated at the end of March '22 and already home to 3 fluffy common tern chicks. Wonderful news!

More great progress has been made this week by our team & @GFutureBuilding, who have been hard at work replacing the ramp at the Geoff Smith Hide - soon to be finished 👏 Many thanks also to our team for their efforts tidying up the path & trimming back the hedges @YorkBirding

Our members and supporters funded over 50 Barn Owl boxes five years ago. Built by @GFutureBuilding and installed by volunteers and staff across Yorkshire, all are still providing safe breeding and roosting sites for Barn Owls, Kestrels and other species. #FridayFeeling

Recently we had an opportunity to use the new photography hide @tophilllow nature reserve. The hide is purpose built at water level to get an eye to eye view of the wildlife. Built by the very impressive @GFutureBuilding this is the future for wildlife photography hides @YCNature

Another day, another Obs. This time @FlamboroughBird Observatory to have a look at the newly erected Martin Garner Seawatching Observatory. A wonderful bit engineering.

The second visit to the Sand Martin bank at Bank Island yesterday with our volunteer team resulted in another 24 nestlings being ringed – that’s a total of 45 chicks ringed so far this year @YorkBirding @GFutureBuilding @YorksDCP @YorksWildlife @VisitYNT @NaturalEngland

Despite the recent wet weather, we are pleased to be able to say that our two pairs of Common Terns hatched all five young over the weekend. Great news following on from the success of the last two years @YorkBirding @YorksDCP @GFutureBuilding

The River Sheaf colonies are in retaning walls & for the moment are safe but when these areas need repairing the work will inpact the newly established population & would loose their nest sites, a @GFutureBuilding's artifical bank could be solution on the sheaf @ParksSheffield

Not only the River Don, this year has seen a flock of up to 20 Sand Martins colonise at 2 areas of the River Sheaf with to date at least 7 active nests, 1 of which the young fledged yesterday @SheafBank with 2 more nests in the big wall & 4 at Duchess Rd bridge @GFutureBuilding
