Nathan Yuill, a 12-year-old undergoing treatment for stage 4 lymphoma, decided to create something positive during his time in the hospital. While receiving care, he noticed how meaningful small gifts could be for children in similar situations. He came up with the idea to provide Easter baskets for other young patients, aiming to bring moments of comfort and normalcy during their hospital stays. With support from his community, Nathan raised over $2,000 in just 24 hours. The funds were used to prepare 124 Easter baskets filled with toys, treats, and small items for children in two hospitals. The baskets were delivered across hospital units, reaching patients who were also going through treatment. Staff noted that gestures like these can make a noticeable difference in helping children feel more at ease. At the same time, Nathan continued his own treatment, approaching the later stages of his care. His effort focused on sharing something positive with others while going through a challenging period himself.
