The UAE Tour begins today, it is a blend of the original Dubai and Abu Dhabi tours that bookended the season in 2015-2016. Taylor Phinney was the first-ever winner in Dubai, Esteban Chaves the first winner in Abu Dhabi - expect great scenery, great architecture & great racing !

The 'Vuelta a la Region de Murcia' is on this weekend, a two-day version of what was a fabulous five-day race when I photographed it in the 2000's... Spectacular scenery, high-winds and spirited racing is guaranteed..! Alejandro Valverde won the race a record four times.
