Otto of Jerusalem (?- 33 AD) Was the leader of the Judean People's Front, a group of zealots who fought for judean independency and extermination of the gentiles, samaritans and poles. He and his group died in a suicide attack trying to free the claimed messiah Brian of Nazareth

It feels like a great shame that there are basically no other IJN ships other than Mikasa that survived. Especially Fuso, I could spend weeks exploring that superstructure. God what I wouldn't give...

@Terranaes I'd try Bluesky but from what I've seen there it feels like a self righteous echo chamber.

@daitouayokoyama If you are interested in the U.S Civil War, it may interest you to know that a Confederate States Navy ship called the Stonewall was acquired by Japan and served under the name "甲鉄"and "東", having a combat record there.

@tanomuzeA He is an obscure historical figure that most Americans really only know about through shows and video games. Much of his life like much of the lives of many obscure historical figures it open to creative interpretation.

@pirooooon3 Lincoln is an important President due to his policies regarding the Civil War and doing what had to be done to keep the country together. A complex and fascinating man. Immature and historically illiterate people typically view him as a tyrant while being fans of slavery.

@kengakusha1 🇺🇸 Here. I have always thought that Japan must remain Japan, a nice place to visit but never to stay. I simply wish Western tourists from my homeland and others were better behaved. Seeing stories of Americans misbehaving while guests in any country distresses me.

@goukonmaster310 What are the laws in Japan about walking around with a weapon like that for demonstration or reenactment purposes? 🇺🇸 here, on my visit I found that Japanese society has very strict weapons laws.

@muginekosikikan I've always been in love with the silhouette and design of the Fuso's great tower. As an American it really breaks my heart that only the noble Mikasa remains. It hurts to think about that ship being so alone, which makes her precious.

@ichimaru_novel Well, the responsible thing that most gun owning Americans do is keep them in a locked room or a safe, somewhere secure. But many Americans view guns as toys or fashion accessories.
