The philosophy shift I noted yesterday worked out. In what would have been a .500 day turned into a profitable 2-0 day. Here’s my full slate of plays for a busy Saturday. I’m sure I’ll end up dropping a few units on the Spurs ML, too.

Anyone see those White Sox City Connects? Wow. Dope af. Anyway, onto something I didn’t think I would be saying this year… The White Sox are not a bad club, winner of 4 of their last 5 and facing a struggling Tigers team. Frambar has been up and down over his last five starts, but hasn’t won since late April thanks to the bullpen. Detroit has the better names but the Sox have been playing better ball. I’ll take a little +$ on them to take game 2 of the series.

Because of the pitching matchup discrepancy with the Reds and Braves and before this post, I would have laid -1.5 on the Braves. But, with some discipline, my money is on the Braves ML @ -138. The Reds have not won a game Paddack has started this season and his ERA is nearing 7. ATL is 7-3 in Holmes starts this season. The Braves are coming off winning their series at Fenway and roll into the Great American Small Park swinging the bats well. I'll take the better team with the better pitcher to win.

A little self-evaluation: I went back and looked at my last 17 MLB plays. In those games, I laid the runs 12 times. In those games, I am 4-8 ATS. Not good. A further look, I got hooked 4 of the 8 times. 50 percent hook. In the 5 ML games I was 4-1. I'll take that all day. Overall, regardless of ML or ATS, the teams I picked were 12-5, but my record is 7-10. If we turn those run lines into ML, I would be picking at 71%. Thesis: I think I'm seeing games correctly, I've gotten a little plus money happy. I'm going to be deliberate about laying the juice on straight winners and stop hoping bullpens hang on late.

I really don’t wanna drive back to OKC and sweat out a game 7. I’d legit do anything for a win tonight. If OKC wins i’ll give 2 people a $500 prizepicks lineup. Comment a random NBA player to enter.

I’m gonna keep riding with the Spurs, taking plus money in a critical game 5. San Antonio has the cleaner injury report with Ajay already ruled out and J. Dub compromised at the very best, out at the very worst. Game 3 was weird, Wemby was not assertive. That changed in game 4 and I’ll wager that’s the alien we’ll get in game 5. I’ve believed the Spurs were the better team since the calendar flipped to 2026…scroll down, you’ll see plenty of examples. I’m gonna keep putting my money where my mouth is, looking for them to take a 3-2 series advantage.

Not seeing MLB quite as clearly as the NBA playoffs, but it’s been ok. Here’s today’s 4 pack of plays.

Did the Cavs quit on Atkinson? He was a disaster in game 1 and his squad wasn’t competitive for the last 3 games of this series. They gotta fire him, right??

@brodo_baggins1 Take it to the finals. They’re a win away from that going to $2500. Then you can test your willpower.

@BaseballWRLD_ The wins don’t matter narrative has become overblown. His 7 wins per season avg tells a pretty good story of his dependability.

Wins obviously don’t matter, but how the hell is a pitcher of Jacob deGrom’s caliber not even at 100 wins after 13 seasons in MLB
