@God0fDeception She did not know what to think. He really had not lied or deceived her- they had been friends but they had not been so close that she could be suspicious of him. She stiffened at the touch on her shoulder. “Does it involve having another subordinate cut me down?“

@God0fDeception She watched him with her usual suspicious gaze. Any word from him was worth about as much as a chocolate firewall. Even less. He could smile all he liked. Speak softly. Keep his hands where everyone could see them. That did not mean he was harmless. "... I don't believe you."
