Today our school parliament was very fortunate to be joined by the Hon Dai Le, Member for Fowler and the Hon Milton Dick, Speaker of the House Representatives. GPKPS was very proud to showcase our student parliament. Thank you for joining us.

Today, a number of our EALD students showcased their English skills in a real-life situation. They ran an EALD Cafe where they confidently engaged and interacted with staff. Seeing how far they have come is impressive and inspiring. We are very proud of them.

Today we surprised our Principal, Mr Corcoran, at our Year 6 Graduation by presenting him with his 30 Years Service Award. A great advocate for public education. Thank you from GPKPS.

In 2023 our school has worked closely with Bossley Park HS in the area of dance. Our Year 6 students have been working closely with Year 10 talented dances. This week a group of students had the opportunity to perform at the high school. Thank you @BossleyParkHS

This week GPK has shown the positive outcomes that occur when primary schools and high schools work together. Our Year 6 students were given 2 days of the high school experience. Our senior students really enjoyed this opportunity. Thank you @BossleyParkHS

Yesterday we had our School Parliament Induction. Our student leaders enjoyed sharing this with their parents and carers. We were lucky to have Dai Le, Federal member for Fowler, to attend and share her inspiring leadership journey with our school community.

Today the staff celebrated International Women’s Day with a morning tea. They generously raised over $600 for Ovarian Cancer Australia.

On Friday, Governor Philip King Public school learnt about White Ribbon day. The whole school contributed to making this Tree of Kindness to encourage kindness and respect for each other on an every day basis.

We wrapped up our Year 6 Sporting Challenge. Students participated over the last 5 weeks culminating in Finals Day yesterday. Great fun had by all & the BBQ lunch helped too. A prelude to the special events that Year 6 will enjoy in their last term of primary school. 🤩🤩

Our student leaders initiative , Spirt Week, finished today with Friendship Friday. The week was Motivational Monday Teamwork Tuesday Wellbeing Wednesday Thoughtful Thursday A wonderful week had by all.

Our student parliament came up with the initiative of ‘Spirit Week’. It’s all about school spirit and wellbeing. Yesterday was Motivational Monday and today was ‘Teamwork Tuesday’. Tomorrow is ‘Wellbeing Wednesday. Great work from all involved.
