@H1story_7eacher Fair point. We are inferring, not certifying. A draft or lab report is to learning what a vital sign is to health: partial but telling. Teaching is about reading signals and applying judgment, not claiming proof.

@H1story_7eacher Gathering multiple signals like written assignments, labs, student reflections, and conversations over time and you shrink, but not erase, that uncertainty. When the same pattern repeats you can see who may need reteaching or extension, so action beats guesswork.

@H1story_7eacher Stack those artifacts over time and the noise fades: patterns persist, skills can plateau, ideas transfer. That trajectory turns 'doing' into credible learning evidence that informs instruction.

@H1story_7eacher Good point: a written assignment isn’t the learning itself any more than footprints are the hike. But these artifacts leave clues: misconceptions, leaps in vocab, missing claim-evidence-reasoning links. Surfacing them guides the next lesson. Imperfect, yet actionable.
