Watched the Odyssey trailer, sure maybe a few things look a bit odd/out of place but really not seeing it being as awful as made out to be here. Guess will wait and watch.

For Russia being the big bad, they've been a massive disappointment.

I'm trying a small dose of ozempic (0.5mg weekly) upsides; - massive reduction in hunger - zero sweet tooth - eat slower (wife happy with that) - temptation to drink alcohol reduced - gradual, reliable weight loss downsides; - 2 considerable waves of fatigue so far, one after starting one after increasing from 0.25 to 0.5. - ^This makes it hard to stick to lifting/running, both waves I was pretty much just in bed and still exhausted. - increased indigestion / popping gaviscon at night sometimes Will see if downsides flatten out if I stick on current dose.

@AaronBastani What was the reasoning? Green == grooming gang supporter?

My wife was targeted outside our daughter’s nursery today (handing out leaflets) & basically called a paedophile by a mum. A reform voter. She’s a Labour councillor & 5 months pregnant! This stuff is a threat to a functioning, well-governed society. It’s okay to just…disagree.

@calum_darroch The framing and reaction to it from the Greens/Leftists has been interesting. It's a threat etc.

There's been a lot of talk about this, and frankly a lot of Restore supporters aren't quite getting this. Whether this policy would ever be enacted isn't relevant, what IS relevant is whether people have skin in the game or not. There's a huge messaging opportunity here that is being squandered.

You can read through the replies to view a raft of far-right accounts smugly thinking it’s a real ‘gotcha’ to imply Green voters have demanded detention centres on their doorstep. It’s most notable how clearly they see their main enemies as internal to British society 🧵

It's great to see that everyone does agree that migrants actually are viewed as a threat to our way of life.

@PositivFuturist Wonder if thats intentional or not. Is someone trying to let slip that the searches are actually a good idea?

Wonder if the left types will still like anime now they can see how much the Japanese dislike them.

@PositivFuturist @NewStatesman He is, I’ve read his book, the places in between and it’s genuinely brilliant. I struggle to believe they are the same two people.

@NewStatesman The cognitive dissonance is off the scale. Racism = the ultimate moral crime Criticising halal slaughter, honour killings, islamism etc.. = racist. Fucking moron

So if the UK/US twitter spheres are seeing lots of Japanese content instead of Indian… did the Indian content sphere get aligned with sone other group or did they just shadowban the entire country?

@PositivFuturist Yup, I gave up fighting it last November. Now employed with a smallish consultancy thats making a killing from the changes. Hilariously one of our clients is also using InfoSys where it would've been entry level jobs in the UK before and they are beyond incompetent.

@PositivFuturist Looking back, I'd still have went as it was great being around like minded people and the directed nature of the learning helped focus my mind. That said, I've known a lot with Comp Sci degrees that were hopeless and shit.

@PositivFuturist Comp Sci is a bit of an outlier though, the openness of hacker culture when we were young encouraged great minds and attracted those who wanted to know everything. I have a comp sci degree and I enjoyed it however I think I'd have been good regardless as I study a lot.

@PositivFuturist Honestly I sort of feel for this type of person here. She's someone that's clearly not suited for higher education and gets funnelled into it. She's an idiot sure but she's also been failed and fucked over by schools/guidance teachers and so on.

@PositivFuturist In principle, I actually agree with him. It's just it's hard to keep to that principle when we've been shown so many ethnic voting blocs within the UK now. Even things like having 'community leaders' argues strongly against it.
