@beerboy182 It's not that much of a surprise when you look at how much the Roosters have invested into junior pathways since 2019. DCE feels like an odd signing to me but with Sam Walker (23), Toby Rodwell (20) and Carter Mareko (17) it's clearly a backing of these 3 in particular.

Probably first time in my lifetime I'd seen Uncle Nick & the Roosters drop the ball for recruitment & succession w/ so many big stars & club legends all leaving & retiring at same time w/outa big plan in place They were either lucky or planned well it came good w/ th young boys

Roosters fans upset that Hugo Savala might be on the way out, need not worry. Toby Rodwell is an absolute gun, turns 20 next year & IMO a better player than Savala. He will step in to replace DCE, should Hugo decide he can’t wait 12 months.
