Most likely the residents in Makerfield watch mainstream news, read the paper daily instead of going online. They’re on Facebook already in thier bubble being fed their beliefs by the algorithm. They are too busy in their lives to worry about politics. They don’t see what’s happening. I would guess most Green and LibDem voters voted Red last night to keep the Right at bay.
