WHAT THE PUCK?: A youth hockey team is under fire after players ages 8 and under staged a brawl during the “Mites on Ice” halftime show at a Hershey Bears game on Saturday in Pennsylvania.
The Central Penn Panthers Youth Ice Hockey Club is conducting an internal review to find out why its players took part in the stunt.
The Hershey Bears issued a statement apologizing for the incident and said they will work with participating teams to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
@NEWSMAX I told my wife that night that it's a stunt. No referees involved. No coaches climbing over the boards to separate players. BTW it is one funny stunt. But the snowflakes are going to melt down.
@wsbtv Where I married my ex in 1999; well....just a little north of there on the back porch of The Sea Monkey in Ocean-isle facing the ocean with a double rainbow during the ceremony! Public Service Announcement: wine destroys marriages!
@Nealio678@rodstewart That was a temporary lapse of judgement or he was paid very highly for that photo op. Hoping the burn marks on his skin healed. HH🍀🍀
Good going @HotLeathers for pulling a bait and switch and then not making good. A glitch in your system is not my fault and making me pay the difference on your glitch because you intentionally sent the wrong size is bad business.
@justelectra1@PatriotPrick@J6patriotnews@Johnny_Joey@yesnicksearcy@ATLairport@TSA The problem is that when you’re a frequent traveler, there are too many inconsistencies. ATL makes laptops come out, MCO wants them left in. AUS doesn’t make you take shoes off. If they all work for same govt agency, they should all be trained the same.
@PatriotPrick@J6patriotnews@Johnny_Joey@yesnicksearcy@ATLairport@TSA These same folks would be raising all kinds of hell if they ended up on a plane that got hijacked. Spoiled, selfish Americans think they should never be inconvenienced. Yes, TSA could be better trained, more emphatic to the very people who make their jobs more difficult.
Going through @ATLairport@TSA pre-check this morning. I wear loose fitting shorts whenever I fly so I can pull them up and expose my entire prosthesis on each side. After being scanned, I did just that. The agent hesitated, then began to pat me down, he was incredibly respectful. I asked, “this is not a criticism or complaint, just a question… if I show you my entire leg, do you still have to pay them down?” He said, “unfortunately, yes”. Then I smiled and said… “do you know why?” He laughed, but before he could get “no” out a “supervisor” chimed in and said “he’s supposed to take you to a private room” to which I replied, “nah, I’m good here.” Wearing two masks, she got defensive, “no that’s the right way to do it!” I said, “well, I’ve flown more than a million miles through a hundred airports and I’ve never been to a private room.” Of course she had to clap back, “well they’re doing it wrong.” So I asked, “is the TSA that bad at following policy?” She was noticeably bothered and began walking away while still talking saying “I’m a supervisor and he’s doing it the wrong way” to which I responded, “the common sense way?”.
The agent actually working and screening me could barely keep it together and not laugh. This is on the heels of an agent in West Palm Beach using a hand metal detector on me a few days ago where he’d hold it to a spot on my leg, then pat it. Over and over again.
Folks these people are trained to do an activity. They have no idea why, they aren’t taught how these techniques are supposed to detect bad things, they have no understanding of the mechanism they’re using and if you ask simple questions they get beyond defensive. The @tsa does very little to keep you safe, as a bomb tech, I could circumvent all of their detection measures pretty easily, but what they really do is keep you comfortable with a government that trains it’s agents to intimidate you and harass you. If you’re mad at government authoritarianism after COVID you’re (at least) 20+ years late.
@J6patriotnews@Johnny_Joey@yesnicksearcy@ATLairport@TSA Back in the seventies I grew up in housing on the Airbase. we could just go have lunch at the restaurant in the Airport and watch planes you didn’t have to be going somewhere.
@vrf241@Farris_Actual@Johnny_Joey@TSA Once in MCO I witnessed a young adult, non-verbal almost get taken down because they were making him go into body scan and he was terrified. Parents did not speak English and were trying to help where they wouldn’t let them near him. What a way for the Disney trip to end.
My husband has a knee replacement. In 2015 the last time we traveled I told TSA he had a knee replacement and that he had dementia and could not respond properly to directions. They put him through hell and I couldn’t even help him they would not let me near him. It almost got ugly before a TSA agent with a brain showed up.
