Catchers backing up first base is super important & sometimes it turns into a much needed out. You can't see the whole play on the screen with this one but you can see it all play out. I got the runner trying to advance after the throw got through 1st. @TheCatchingGuy Literally wrote down a pregame routine for myself on my HS team two days ago. Things are somewhat unpredictable with how much time I'll have so I have to adapt and do what I can but at least I have a plan.

🧵 Here is about 2 minutes of Gabby Moreno’s pre-game routine. 1. Barehand weighted ball rolling receiving 2. Barehand baseball short hop receiving 3. Short toss knee down blocks 4. Live machine receiving 5. Machine pitch exchange & pick or throw w/ footwork (to 2nd, 1st & 3rd)

Not the outcome we hoped for on opening day but the season is on us! Let's go Reds!!! ⚾️
