BREAKING: Trump gives a jaw-dropping response to Iran "completely blocking" the Strait of Hormuz and choking off the global economy: "I couldn’t care less."
And it gets so much worse...
“I really don’t care. I couldn’t care less,” Trump said in a phone interview with CNBC.
Earlier today, it was revealed that Iran has cut off all dialogue channels with the United States, scuttling negotiations because the ceasefire has been violated. In addition to Trump bombing Iranian facilities over the past few days, Israel has been conquering territory in Lebanon and killing civilians in Gaza. Iran will now totally close off the Strait of Hormuz, skyrocketing global oil prices.
“If [the negotiations are] over, they’re over. If they’re not, you know, I think they took too much time. Frankly, I thought they started to get very boring," Trump said.
In other words: Trump is too lazy and attention-deficient to actually do his job. He'd much rather spend his time screeching on Truth Social, posting AI slop, and watching montages of explosions on his iPad. He's exactly as dull-witted and easily distracted as his most worst critics claim.
Trump also said that he's "going to ask" Benjamin Netanyahu “what’s going on with Lebanon.”
"What's going on" is that Netanyahu has been using the ongoing conflict with Iran as a pretext to invade Lebanon, slaughter its people, and seize territory that Israel has long coveted. Either Trump is pretending not to know that — which is entirely possible since he prioritizes Israeli interests over American ones at every turn — or he just can't be bothered to pay attention to what's going on in the world, despite that being his entire job description. Probably both.
As for his admission that he doesn't care about negotiations breaking down and the Strait closing, it's stunning but perfectly in keeping with his past behavior. He confessed recently that he doesn't think about Americans' financial situations at all.
What does he care if we can't afford gas, groceries, or rent? He and his family have never been richer and every day their net worth increases.
Please ❤️ and share if you think that Donald Trump is the worst President that we've ever had!

🚨 THIS IS THE ENTIRE AI INDUSTRY'S NIGHTMARE IN ONE QUOTE.
An author suing OpenAI says AI companies didn't just buy books.
They allegedly downloaded them from pirate sites.
Then, according to his claim, stripped away copyright pages and ISBN information before feeding the material into AI models.

12-year-old Cody Green from Flora, Indiana, was fighting his final battle with leukemia. Diagnosed at just 22 months old, Cody had bravely faced the disease for most of his young life, achieving remission three times before a devastating relapse.
Despite his illness, Cody drew strength and inspiration from the United States Marine Corps. He deeply admired their courage and honor, and the Marines, moved by his spirit, made him an honorary Marine and presented him with navigator wings.
As Cody lay critically ill at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Sergeant Mark Dolfini heard his story. On the night of April 27, 2012, the Marine drove to the hospital in full dress uniform and stood guard outside Cody’s door—for eight straight hours. It was a personal, voluntary act of respect with no official orders.
Cody passed away the next day at age 12. Sergeant Dolfini later attended the funeral, saluting Cody’s mother in a final gesture of honor.
This quiet vigil became a powerful symbol of compassion and brotherhood. Cody never wore the uniform, but he lived with the heart of a Marine. Sergeant Dolfini’s selfless act reminds us that true honor often shows up in silence, simply to stand watch when it matters most.

The people who want to wall off Big Bend have never set foot here. Instead of listening to local sheriffs, border security experts, rural Texas businesses, and pretty much every single person who calls this region home, DHS is pushing to butcher Big Bend National Park with completely unnecessary walls and roads.

BASH: On the reflecting pool, the Times reports you awarded two multimillion no bid contracts. Is that true?
BURGUM: Well, this is expedited contracting to get these projects done
BASH: Does that mean 'no bid'?
BURGUM: You're implying something untoward is going on
BASH: The company doing the reflecting pool has a 20% project margin. Standard is 6-12%.

🧵Today marks my last day at @WFP—and the end of one of the most pivotal chapters of my life.
In three years, we raised $25B to save and change millions of lives. From conflicts to climate shocks, the forces driving hunger have never been more relentless.
And yet, we delivered:

Nearly 40 years after his snub by FDR, President Gerald Ford invited legendary Olympian Jesse Owens to the White House in August 1976. To Owens' shock, Ford proceeded to not only honor him, but present him with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
It was a long-overdue recognition for a man whose triumphs had transcended sport. Owens, son of a sharecropper and grandson of enslaved Americans, had stunned the world at 1936 Berlin Olympics by winning four gold medals in the face of Adolf Hitler’s white supremacist propaganda.
His dominance on the world stage not only shattered Nazi racial ideology but also made him a global icon of resilience, excellence, and dignity.
Yet when he returned home to the U.S., Owens received no call from the White House, no ticker-tape parade. President Franklin D. Roosevelt never sent a letter, made a phone call, or invited him for a visit, reportedly fearing backlash from Southern voters.
Owens would later say, “I wasn’t invited to shake hands with Hitler, but I wasn’t invited to the White House to shake hands with the President either.”
Ford’s invitation in 1976, at the nation’s bicentennial, served as a symbolic correction to that wrong.
In presenting the Medal of Freedom, Ford called Owens “a young man who possibly didn’t realize the greatness of his own accomplishments” and acknowledged the profound impact Owens had on the world. For Owens, it was more than a medal, it was long-delayed validation from the country he had so proudly represented.

Sen. @AndyKimNJ: I rise to share stories from detainees at Delaney Hall. There are currently 800 detainees at Delaney Hall. It's become an example of our broken immigration system. I've heard repeatedly and seen with my own eyes the conditions at Delaney Hall. Food that is inedible. I had a man show me a container of milk that was curdled solid. I've heard about the issues of mold and issues of safety and security. What I've heard is unacceptable.

🚨JB PRITZKER EMBARRASSES TRUMP:
This is huge! JB Pritzker just BALANCED the Illinois budget with a $0 deficit.
$0!!!!!
The media won't tell you about Democratic accomplishments, so SHARE THIS EVERYWHERE:
While Trump is cutting SNAP, Pritzker is helping families put food on the table.
While Trump's Iran war is driving up energy costs, Illinois is pausing the gas tax increase.
While Trump is building a ballroom, Illinois is funding schools, building housing, wiping out medical debt, and helping working families.
That's what Democratic governing looks like.
Pritzker is lowering costs.
Trump is RAISING them.

@bey779 @davidfrum It’s not “unbelievable” if you believe in democracy; are a decent, caring person; don’t like to see your tax $$ spent on vanity projects; understands a leader leads by example; have amoral compass; sickened by grown men sexually abusing young girls; and lie about everything.
English

@davidfrum Again the hate for this President is unbelievable. Go out and celebrate our 250th America. If bands don’t want to play for the biggest celebration of our country, they don’t know what it means to be an American. It’s shameful!

Trump was handed the opportunity to preside over a feel-good moment of national unity on July 4, 2026. All he had to do was for once in his life, not act like an egomaniacal lunatic. Instead, he's made a complete fiasco of the nation's 250th birthday. My latest theatlantic.com/politics/2026/…

These are the brand new disguised Automated License Plate Reader cameras in Arizona
The large yellow plastic barrels are camouflaged housings designed to look like construction equipment
They are being deployed in remote desert areas along highways
These new camouflaged cameras are a partnership between Flock and law enforcement and the plan is to use them extensively to track vehicle movement and broader surveillance
We are witnessing the surveillance state being established in America… this only ends in mass surveillance
