Igniting Writing's @WBC_Libraries teen creative writing club sessions are now on break, returning on 18/4/26. We have lots planned, such as new session topics, amazing guest speakers, the launch of our annual creative writing competition and maybe even some more collaborations!

Today's @WBC_Libraries teen creative writing sessions were on roleplay games, with @Modular_Realms as a guest speaker. The group wrote plans for their own roleplay game campaign. Highlights were a queen faking a kidnap of her son and a dragon poisoning the area around its lair!

Today's @WBC_Libraries teen creative writing sessions were on dialogue, with @BlueGold201 as a guest speaker. The group wrote conversations with two arguing characters. Highlights included two siblings disputing whether a monster was real and a robot being quizzed by a teacher!

Today's @WBC_Libraries teen creative writing sessions were on similes and metaphors. The group used odd metaphors to describe someone they knew and wrote extended metaphors drawn from a hat. Highlights were a man's lies digging his own grave and a girl likened to a samosa!

Today's @WBC_Libraries teen creative writing sessions were on superheroes. The group drew an odd superpower and a crisis from a hat to write an origin story and a hero team-up. Highlights included an American President's skinny jeans plot and a 2D hero infiltrating an evil lair!

Today's @WBC_Libraries teen creative writing sessions were on narrative voice. The group wrote scenes from a character's perspective using prompts to show their personality. Highlights included a bored character's restless movement and a nervy character's public speaking anxiety!

Today's @WBC_Libraries teen creative writing sessions were on romance and relationships. The group wrote meet-cute scenes to show the start of a bond. Highlights included a superpowered teen's missing cat search and a fancy-dress party where two characters had the same costume!
