To chase down a massive target of 225+ with 10 balls to spare!!!! you need an average strike rate of 180+ across the board from your batters and the boys absolutely delivered. On a day where we didn’t quite click with the ball or out in the field, our batters stepped up and played with immense confidence. Every single player and backroom staff member makes me so proud to be a part of this wonderful setup. A massive shoutout to the guys who made it happen with the bat and led the charge: * Sahibzada: An incredible professional and an even better human being. The way he trains is unmatched. * Arafat: He has officially arrived. * Shan: Played perfectly, completely buying into our philosophy. * Josh: What a keeper, and what a batter! * Steve Smith: Wow. He almost scored his fastest-ever 50 today. * AT: A born leader. Look, we may have had an off day with the ball, but that is the reality of Total Cricket. You attack, you constantly go for wickets, and some days it just won’t come off. The boys were brave despite the tough conditions. We saw Wasim Jr. looking close to his absolute best today he is a superstar. Momin and Gul are starting out, and they will only grow from experiences like this. I also want to acknowledge the boys who didn't play today. They are consummate professionals and awesome teammates. I watched Ismail bowl in the warm ups, and I’ve honestly never seen anyone hit the mitt that hard. He’s getting up to 100% and looking dangerous. Lastly, to the Lahore fans who were hurling abuse at me today: one day, you will thank me for what I’ve done behind the scenes for the franchise.
