Chicago media is getting justifiably pummeled for its handling of the execution of Loyola Univ freshman Sheridan Gorman by an illegal Venezuelan.
The Sun-Times "she had it coming" headline prompted nationwide condemnation for victim-blaming.
And today is the FIRST day the that Gorman's murder, which happened on March 19, made the front page of the Chicago Tribune. And one can only assume the Trib finally gave the heinous crime the attention it deserves after much public backlash over the past several days.

The backers include some of the biggest names in politics and business, like Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of Steve Jobs, and Governor J.B. Pritzker.
There’s just a few problems—@Olivia_Reingold found more than two dozen instances of violence interrupters getting arrested, including a murder charge.
