The High Court has delivered a powerful affirmation of electoral justice in Newton Kariuki Ndwiga v IEBC & Others (Election Petition No. E002 of 2025), with Justice R. Mwongo ordering scrutiny and recount of votes in the Mbeere North by-election. This is a major victory for truth, transparency, and the will of the people. The Court has opened the door for a full interrogation of the electoral process, including access to KIEMS data, ensuring that nothing is hidden and nothing is taken at face value. This ruling firmly places the IEBC on notice, accountability is not optional. Transparency must be non-negotiable, ensuring that every action taken in the electoral process can be traced, verified, and trusted. A truly free and fair election is one where the process inspires confidence and the outcome reflects, without doubt, the sovereign will of the people. We welcome this bold step. The truth is now on trial and it must prevail.

NOTORIOUS GANG LEADER NEUTRALIZED IN FIERY GUN BATTLE – BERETTA PISTOL RECOVERED In the dead of night on 21/03/2026 at approximately 0200 hrs, a fearless joint patrol team from Laare Police Station, comprising gallant KPS and DCI officers turned a routine patrol into a decisive strike against terror in Shauri Yako area, Linjoka sub-location, Igembe North Sub-County, Meru County. The officers encountered a shadowy group of approximately five young men lurking with sinister intent. Upon lawful challenge, the suspects unleashed a hail of gunfire at the brave officers, missing their targets by sheer providence. Undeterred and in swift defense of life and duty, the officers returned fire with precision and resolve. In the intense exchange that followed, one suspect was fatally neutralized; shot in the head while the remaining four fled into the darkness, still armed and dangerous. From the scene, officers recovered one Beretta Gardone pistol, menacingly loaded with three live rounds of ammunition and one spent cartridge, a chilling exhibit of the threat these criminals posed to innocent residents. The deceased has been positively identified as Mutembei Kola, the feared and notorious leader of a ruthless criminal gang that has sown fear and chaos across Igembe North for far too long. His body has been respectfully removed to Nyambene Sub-County Hospital mortuary, preserved pending post-mortem examination. Investigations are in full swing and a massive manhunt is underway to hunt down the fleeing accomplices before they strike again. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations stands resolute: criminal elements will find no sanctuary. We salute the bravery of our officers who risked everything to protect communities and deliver swift justice.

EACC RECOVERS KES 10 MILLION FROM FORMER HOMA BAY COUNTY OFFICIAL The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has secured court orders for the restitution of Kes10,991,712 in salaries irregularly earned by Mr. Odhiambo Ottoman Adel Walter, a former Deputy Director of Health – Preventive and Promotive at the County Government of Homa Bay. In a judgment delivered on March 13, 2026, Justice B.M. Musyoki ordered Mr. Odhiambo to refund all salaries paid to him by the County Government of Homa Bay for the period between June 2016 and August 2021, amounting to Kes10,991,712. The case stems from investigations into allegations of conflict of interest and unlawful acquisition of public funds. The probe established that between June 2016 and August 2021, Mr. Odhiambo was employed on permanent and pensionable terms by the County Government of Homa Bay while simultaneously holding a similar position at the Kenya Medical Training College in Kisumu County. On June 12, 2024, the Commission moved to court seeking recovery of the salaries irregularly paid to Mr. Odhiambo by Homa Bay County Government for the period he earned from both institutions. In its Judgment, the Anti-Corruption Court held that it was unlawful and unethical for a public officer to receive salaries from two government institutions in a manner that undermines efficient service delivery. The court further directed that the amount be refunded within 90 days, failing which the Commission will be at liberty to execute the decree. It has now been confirmed that one person lost their life in Kitengela yesterday. The Police shot and killed 28 year old Vincent Ayomo. This is another senseless and needless killing by Ruto’s regime. We send our condolences to Vincent’s family and demand for justice and accountability. This is exactly what we are fighting against.

Hon Kalonzo, as senior counsel I am sure you know that Azimio has a legal document deposited with ORPP. You decided not to follow the provisions of the document to do the changes you purported to have done. Stop blaming other people and follow the right procedure as enshrined in our Azimio deed of agreement. The document that took You nine hours of persuasion to sign the day the coalition was formed. Stick to your Wiper party and do changes as you wish . You told us six months ago that Azimio is dead but now you think you can resurrect it for your own selfish and parochial use. Sectary General, Azimio one Kenya coalition you
Kalonzo Musyoka@skmusyoka

Kenyans need to know what's happening. State House has instructed the Government Printer to block publication of AZIMIO's legitimate leadership changes in the Kenya Gazette. The facts are simple: Philip Kisia (Executive Director), Caroli Omondi (Secretary General), and myself, Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka (Party Leader) were legally appointed. The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties accepted our changes. Local dailies published them last week. The Kenya Gazette was scheduled to publish on Friday, February 6, 2026. Then came the interference. This directly contradicts one of the 10 Agenda items we deliberated during NADCO, "Fidelity to the law on multiparty democracy." I co-chaired those talks in good faith, believing we were building consensus on strengthening Kenya's democratic institutions. Yet here we are, watching the same administration undermine the very principles we agreed upon. When State House can arbitrarily stop the publication of legally constituted political party leadership, it's not just AZIMIO under attack, it's Kenya's multiparty democracy itself. Ruto has consistently undermined opposition parties and coalitions. This is yet another example of using state machinery to weaken political competition rather than competing on ideas and track record. We will pursue all legal avenues to ensure our rightful leadership is gazetted. Democracy cannot function when those in power manipulate the rules to silence dissent. Share this widely. Kenyans and the world deserve to know. #KomboaKenya #ProtectKenyanDemocracy

It is with deep sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved son, Moses Muthama Nduya who passed on yesterday. Moses was a joyful and diligent young man, and it is painful that his life was taken so soon. Though our hearts are heavy, we entrust him to God’s loving care. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
