I personally don’t think fans should pressure the @Tekken devs to change Miary Zu’s skin tone - it’s THEIR artistic vision at the end of the day, and she looks good. What could improve, though, is her subsurface scattering (SSS). Instead of the natural bronze sheen seen in tanned Malagasy women, her skin looks overly matte, likely because the SSS color profile in Unreal is too bright and strong. This seems like an art-direction oversight, especially since the male characters’ SSS looks correct. Brown skin generally has less subsurface scattering than lighter tones, and has more specular response. So a small adjustment here would enhance her visuals while respecting the developers’ vision.
