The Sonics moving from Seattle to Oklahoma City in 2008 and the potential move of the Kings to Seattle in 2013 triggered litigation and threatened litigation. Seattle is ranked 12th or 13th in media/TV market size with a big fan base. It's odd they've been without an NBA team for 18 years, but it looks like that is finally being corrected:
