@HellTweet We had Donald Rosenberg here at The Cleveland Plain Dealer, who was always objective, even if he didn't like the work. We lost a lot when they got rid of him. You have hit the sore point for today, which is the need for those who can assess works with a developed background.

I never imagined the day would come when I would miss a music critic (and I can show you 50 yrs of battle scars), but not having any informed, intelligent reviews now that SF Chronicle has dissed classical music by no longer reviewing is deeply disturbing.
