@shadowmode@heyitssharla China actually did a lot to contain it at great expense to their economy. Countries like the US and UK know full well that this was coming and don't dare take appropriate measures because of fear about the economic impact. It's not time to blame but to stick together.
It’s so sad seeing Chinese restaurants and shops being avoided because of the virus. Support your local Chinese businesses - order some delivery tonight! 🥡🥢 They’re losing out on so much business at the moment😔
@AbroadInJapan Which part of the UK is that exactly? That is not reflective of my experience. Plenty of people think they're foreign affairs experts though.
Just came back from a few weeks in the UK - utterly shocked to find that 1-in-4 people I spoke to thought Hong Kong was in Japan.
“I saw those riots they’ve been having on the news!”
It destroyed my perception that British people have a decent general knowledge of geography.
@beachclean78 Hello! My sister and I are thinking of going to Cromer for a mini beach clean one weekday. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for cleaning Cromer specifically such as particularly messy spots, etc. We will be coming by train so won't be able to drive anywhere.
@paul_winginit@thomas_boon Not sure what to call what I once experienced - left the plane, arrived in Heathrow only to find a door locked and no-one to let us through to border control 🤔
@paul_winginit Happy birthday! I asked smb to guess your age and he said 30 ☺️ A colleague of mine said she doesn't feel ashamed of her age, quite the reverse, because the older we are the luckier we are. There are many that didn't make it to whatever age we are.
