Things are not looking good for Supergirl.
It became the first project in James Gunn's new DC Universe (DCU) to debut with a 59% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Early reviews criticized its uneven script, weak villain, and conventional third act.
It has now received a B- CinemaScore, while its Thursday previews managed to collect only $13 million globally against a reported $170 million budget.
Are critics being too harsh on Supergirl ? What are your thoughts?

@MemeOfSteel_ Supergirl will surely struggle at the box office, if the early critics' reviews are true.

@CineVerdictt @JamesGunn @DCOfficial @supergirl The gap in popularity is the reason for the gap, just like Batman and Spider-Man are both gonna gap these next year, but hopefully Superman‘s will be higher too with MOT

@CineVerdictt @JamesGunn @DCOfficial @supergirl Historically, Superman comics have comfortably outsold Supergirl titles. While the flagship Superman title generally commands 50,000 to nearly 70,000 monthly single-issue sales, solo Supergirl series have typically hovered in the 13,000 to 30,000 range.
