Last evening at around 20:30 hrs, during a joint checking operation by SST and FST teams under Park Street Police Station, a vehicle was intercepted and unaccounted cash amounting to ₹6,96,485 was recovered from an individual. Additionally, foreign currency comprising 427 US Dollars, 25 Dirhams, and 1 Riyal was also seized. All items have been seized in accordance with the prescribed SOP. Acting on credible intelligence, Uttar Kashipur Police Station under Bhangar Division conducted a late-night raid at Raghunathpur Khalpar on 09.04.2026, leading to the successful apprehension of an arms dealer. During the operation, 03 country-made one-shotter firearms in working condition along with 02 live cartridges were recovered from his possession. Investigation is underway.
