@KevinMerce71290 @jowilliams293 I think that's a different point to what the lady was saying, she just mentions good schools closing, not swathes of schools, and doesn't mention schools that had imposed their own fee rises. You've gone off on a tangent.

Adding VAT onto private school fees looks to be one of the worst education policy decisions of recent decades. Forced closure of good schools, disrupted children's education, and likely to cost taxpayers more than will ever be recuperated. Terrible.

@donnylives @jowilliams293 I think I've addressed the fact that schools are not closing in swathes because of VAT as they have been happy to impose similar rises on parents themselves and still remain open. The year on year figures also don't show any significant changes.

@Bajones06427851 @jowilliams293 Well I didn't see it like that. I saw no change in the services my child got. In fact the biggest change was charging us individually for each GCSE entry, another hidden cost....and also changes come hard and fast as they rose in big chunks over a couple of summers.
