Le Bris has been great all season, and got a lot more right than wrong, but he's managed Talbi, Geertruida and Diarra (in a different way to the other 2) appallingly this season. In a race for Europe, with our squad, those fine margins are always gonna cost you.

@Kevsol I honestly don’t think we’re in a race for Europe, I haven’t got a clue where this has come from if I’m honest. Europe isn’t part of the plan at all, we’re not ready for it. Personally I don’t want it next season. Eventually yes but not yet. Safety this year.

@MichaelBowers15 Massively underutilised during the AFCON period and we've barely seen him since the derby, a game he was excellent in despite receiving racist abuse. It's just baffling. Le Bris has been great overall, but I don't understand his treatment of certain players.

@Kevsol Geertrudia in particular is what baffles me, unless there’s something behind the scenes we don’t know about which could change my mind. Bar one or two off games, he’s generally been very good when played yet continuously doesn’t get used. Mental in my opinion.

It’s obviously a minor issue on a night like tonight, but I do feel really sorry for Talbi, he’s clearly our best left-winger & we’re always a better team when he’s in it & it just feels like he’s ever going to get the chance. Le Bris doesn’t trust him & I can’t see why🤷‍♂️

There's an argument to be put forward that a push is worthy of a yellow card, but if this was an unnecessarily reckless action, all pushes are, you can't be results-oeientated with these things. Romero's subsequent injury is unfortunate but irrelevant.

Diarra starts every game for us easily. The energy he brings is ridiculous. A missed chance isn't gonna change that. Half our fans need to remember where we've been the last few years #safc

Very proud of the character shown today, but we need to be more bold and ruthless in our remaining games in terms of team selection and in front of goal. No room for niceties or sentiment.

A tough lesson learnt today - you cannot carry players in this league. Time to drop O'Nien and Diarra and give it a real go. Ballard and Talbi in. Full backs were awful today too mind you.

Sums up Diarra's SAFC career that - pass it, place it, nah, he goes for the Hollywood finish. Struggles with the basics in terms of quality in the final third, awful decision-making.

There’s a reason that Villa are probably going to win the Europa League and qualify for the Champions League. Top side; lethal movement, passing and finishing, and Unai Emery is all class. Hard to feel too disheartened here, even if we’ve been below par. #SAFC
