Today, a group of LCEC employees got down and dirty volunteering at the Animal Refuge Center (ARC) as part of the Power of Us volunteer opportunity, which allows employees to give back during the workday. The team supported ARC with indoor cleaning tasks and landscape work, including weeding, raking in front of several buildings, and hauling sand to fenced in dog houses. After some well earned, sweaty work, the group wrapped up the day with puppy time alongside Jelly Bean and Twix.

LCEC System Operators play a critical role in monitoring and operating the electric system. Working around the clock in shifts, this team helps ensure reliable service 24/7. Using a computerized Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system, System Operators keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes. LCEC would not be able to do business without this dedicated team.
