The Presidency and Lagos State Government have announced the inaugural Abuja Dialogue on Youth Leadership, scheduled for April 13, 2026, with a focus on building structured, scalable systems for youth development. @bettina_lih reports.

At the Abuja Dialogue 2026 Press Briefing, one message came through clearly, it is time to move from talking about youth potential to actually building systems that support young people to lead. The Deputy Chief of Staff to the President (Office of the Vice President) Senator Ibrahim Hadejia set the tone, calling for a shift toward structured pathways that bring young Nigerians closer to governance and decision-making. Our Executive Secretary, Mrs. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, spoke to what that really requires, intentional investment, discipline, and real exposure. Because leadership is not assumed, it is built.
