@RexChapman One of my last games, a 200+lb guard came down right on my toe which had been worked on the same week for an ingrown. Bled through my sock & a then an elbow to my face. I was done. The ones that aren’t great, play dirty.

@RexChapman I’ve played basketball….that’s a punch. That’s a “I hate you, I’m going to make this look like an accident, punch.

@WhiskeyMD247365 @SOTUWithAlexi @FOXSoccer @StatManMosse We want improvement but that’s not necessarily going to happen even before 2026. One thing is that we need to recruit the best players, not the rigid box fitters of past legacies. We have gritty but we need both gritty and ability to adapt to a variety of styles of play🤷🏻♀️

@SOTUWithAlexi @FOXSoccer @StatManMosse I don’t have anything against him. I just think folks have overly high expectations of USMNT. What we saw last night is what they are. A middle of the pack team that usually benefits from playing inferior CONCACAF opponents. Last night they also benefited from some home cooking.

"If you're somebody that thinks that Gregg Berhalter needs to be removed right now, it's probably because you don't think he should've been rehired in the first place."

@SOTUWithAlexi @StatManMosse I’m all for being respectfully critical but being ugly just to be ugly is classless.

@herculezg It’s unbelievable that you feel entitled enough to go after our coach after a win, a win!! You have no understanding of the enormous depth of world soccer. Coaches, no matter how great cannot force players to perform. 🤷🏻♀️See Chelsea for knee jerk management.

Why is it the same group of players have played differently w/ other coaches?
How much better has #USMNT looked under Berhalter?

@SOTUWithAlexi It’s unbelievable that people feel entitled enough to go after our coach after a win, a win!! Coaches, no matter how great cannot force players to perform as they should. 🤷🏻♀️See Chelsea for knee jerk coaching changes that have only made everything worse.

"[Gregg Berhalter] also deserves credit for making the changes that ultimately resulted in a win."
Alexi shares his thoughts on Gregg Berhalter's coaching in the USMNT's 3-1 win over Jamaica in the semi-finals of Concacaf Nations League 🇺🇸

@BootheBets If they were up two, I’d say yes…if they were trailing, nah.

@tweetraychang Let’s just make the bold, unrelenting statement that they are both evil & neither deserve another term. I would further say that because of Biden’s health…he’s less evil or capable of the degree of corruption he has previously long embraced.

Dear Evangelical Christians.
We are in a position where Donald Trump is the presumptive nominee for the Republican Party again because YOU placed him there.
In states like Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada, etc. during primary season, your discipleship of your congregations led to your congregants picking Donald Trump over every other GOP candidate. Your lack of addressing political and economic idolatry from the pulpits and in your programming led to us being in a position where a man who knows how to get what he wants and incited a riot on the US Capitol leading to death, a wave of anti-Asian racism and violence and death, anti-immigrant sentiment - especially against Mexicans (and anyone who is incorrectly labeled as a Mexican), the Chinese (and anyone incorrectly labeled as Chinese), and other ethnicities that aren’t Western European, and a talks flippantly about assaulting women, is about to become the president.
The people that say they are a purple church or speak against political idolatry should poll their churches to see how many of them voted for Donald Trump in the primaries. I’d love to see if their churches actually voted for another Republican or Democratic candidate.
Many will now say that you will hold your noses when voting for Trump because he is the “lesser of two evils” or that you are voting for him because of his “policies, not his character or person”, but the reality is, you had many other choices including @NikkiHaley @SenatorTimScott, @ChrisChristie, @RonDeSantis, and former VP Mike Pence among others (some of whom started behaving and talking like Trump because that was what was winning elections - which is such a sad thing to see people compromise in such a way). But you didn’t choose any of them. In greater numbers than in 2016, you chose Donald Trump.
Evangelical pastors need to think about what their negligence in discipleship that includes addressing how Christians are called to be in the world but not of it and care about the morality and character of their leaders by“just preaching the gospel” that does not touch the deformation done by the religious right movement, has done to the public witness of the church.
The Democratic Party has many problems including their own fundamentalism that holds to positions that are not compatible with Christianity, but they don’t pretend to do it in the name of Jesus - that is reserved for the Republican Party.
Writing as an evangelical who is tired of the political idolatry and would not wish for others to be a part of this dumpster fire that we have created because of our omissive discipleship.
