@figtion Making fun of someone for “loving cops” is meaningless when you were a willing member of the world’s largest, actively imperialist army.

@smacofsky @hohaexpress “All Israelis are Nazi like because they’re from Israel, but all Black Americans who benefit from imperialism are not bad because.. well they just aren’t OK?” Even you can’t apply your own dogmatic and nationalistic logic consistently.

@hohaexpress @LaithLKC Here’s the difference. ALL Israelis by virtue of being settlers, are inherently Nazi-like. Whereas not all black Americans are “kkk” because not every black American joins the military or does anything adjacent to that. Keep in mind we were brought here as slaves, unwillingly.

@LaithLKC I don’t think so. What it shows is that he and every other political influencer are just actors. They don’t believe the things they say. They’re giving you somebody else’s opinion disguised as their own. His boss told him to suppprt Platner, that’s all there is to it.

The fact Hasan Piker is willing to overlook this, and not Galindo’s one-off comment regarding Jews in Hollywood, not only shows his obvious Jewish exceptionalism, but that he doesn’t see Arabs as human beings.
BadEmpanada 🇧🇦🇿🇦@GoyEmpanada

Hasan Piker: "I wouldn't support Graham Platner if what he did was irredeemable. He did irredeemable things but I still support him." It's incoherent because he knows he's wrong and is intentionally misleading his audience.

@smacofsky @hohaexpress Hitler literally wanted to enslave Slavic people because he saw them as inferior people. He killed millions of them. They just aren’t considered because the Holocaust is painted as an antisemitic tragedy exclusively. Material reality is not black and white.

@LaithLKC @hohaexpress Yes. However Jews were their main target. Just like black people were the kkk’s main target. How’s that controversial

@felix_doubledog Because those people do not repent for their service. They often brag about it or demand special benefits for being in the army.

@LaithLKC No disagreement on Platner, fuck him, but most of the discourse I'm seeing really is people talking in a completely absolutist way, like, that there's no acceptance possible for anyone who was ever a member of the US military (even as, like, a cook) no matter what they did or do.

This is just pure reductionism. American vets aren't totally barred from educating themselves and seeking forgiveness for their crimes. We simply won't work with the ones who don't. Graham Platner is a proud mercenary for the American Empire with no remorse for his crimes.
Chudfish@Chudfish14921

Who exactly is supposed to do the communist revolution? The soldiers arent allowed, they are too evil, the working class isnt allowed, they are all mini hitlers, and the farmers cant either for the same reason. Is the revolution supposed to be entirely college kids?

@ivizkii It's Black liberals who see their historical oppression as uniquely traumatic, so any attempt to link their struggle to other existing struggles is seen as diminishing theirs. It's like how some Zionists insist that acknowledging non-Jewish Holocaust victims is antisemitic.

@smacofsky Then why say this? Why invoke your ancestors' trauma as your own? What is so exceptional about Black American trauma that you assume I would have no connection to American colonial violence due to me not being Black? x.com/smacofsky/stat…
soph@smacofsky

@LaithLKC Because the kkk was killing US you racist idiot. Did your ancestors get lynched by the kkk? Mine did? My uncle was lynched with a 3 month old baby in his hand. How fucking dare you

@punopn But the KKK is a symptom of American colonialism, which has thus far existed internationally.

@LaithLKC And? I'm waiting for you to give a justification for why non-black leftists are allowed to co-opt language meant to describe anti-black racism. The KKK is not a symbol of international American colonialism.

@smacofsky No, but you are now. I’m not denying racism against Black people in America. I just wish Black Americans would extend their sympathy to the people America colonizes and imperializes today.
