@collinsworth55 …are far more varied. Skill sets are vastly different, position to position. A bball player might be able to switch over and be a lineman, TE, maybe WR. But never a QB or a K. Far too much skill in those. Being a RB or CB might be tough as well. Specific skills for those spots.

@collinsworth55 I’m a football coach and former player on the HS and college level. And you’re correct in a sense. Need so much more context, though. Basketball as a sport doesn’t have a huge difference between what each player does. They all do pretty much the same things. Football players….

This is my point! Converting from basketball to football is way easier than football to basketball. And it’s not because of athleticism! It’s because basketball is a way more skilled sport and time off basketball is more detrimental than time off of football

Why do people want sports to be boring? This is a bit too far but sports are supposed to be fun. But if it was a walk off HR I wouldn’t care. I love all the Latin and Japanese players flair. If you gonna dish it out, you have to be able to take it.
